Kong Meeting Advisory - August 2, 2004
WHO: All CDMA Certification Forum ™
(CCF ™) member groups; representatives from Nokia,
LG Electronics, Samsung, Motorola, KTF, KDDI Corp., Telstra,
US Cellular, SK Telecom, Huawei Technologies, Vivo, CDMA
Development Group (CDG), QUALCOMM Incorporated, TTA (Telecommunications
Technology Association), CTIA, CATR, Via, TI, ST, Skyworks,
Spirent, Agilent, Racal (Aeroflex), Testquest, Innowireless,
NEWS IQ Labs and WTS among many others, are expected to
attend. CCF membership is diverse and includes industry
leading CDMA operators, mobile station vendors, test labs
and test solution providers, among others.
WHAT: Face-to-Face Kickoff Meeting
of the CDMA Certification Forum (CCF ™) whose
purpose is to bring industry-leading CDMA operators
and mobile station vendors together to develop a certification
process for the worldwide commercialization of CDMA2000
handsets. Currently, there are 219 CDMA operators and
more than 100 CDMA handset vendors worldwide.
WHEN: Thursday-Saturday, August 12-14,
2004, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Please note: CDMA Certification
Forum ™ (CCF ™) members are strongly encouraged
to attend all three sessions.
Day One, Thursday, August 12, 2004: Operator
Group
Key Highlights: Establish CCF structure, decision process
and terms of reference; Discuss trading value of single
versus limited multiple test processes; and Updates
from Technical and Certification Groups on test plans,
processes and lab deployments) and on various test-related
industry initiatives.
Day Two, Friday, August 13, 2004: Technical
Group
Key Highlights: Review of documents already published
and a timeline for those to be published; Spirent Tools
– UDM, UPST; Spirent: 98-E test matrix support;
Agilent: 98-E 8960 Series 10; Spirent: 898 test case
matrix support; and Spirent: gpsOne.
Day Three, Saturday, August 14, 2004: Certification
Group
Key Highlights: Presentation on ICC test process; Walk
through draft test process specification; Handset Modem
Certification; Handset Application Certification; Lab
Authorization; SME Certification; Platform Validation
(NewsIQ, CATR); and Evolution.
